Reason number one, it was just plain ugly. lol. This is the den.

And the kitchen from all angles....frightening. I know at this point you all must think that I am completely NUTS!!
The bathroom.....no words. Now at this point I should say my mom DID NOT live in this house in this condition. Just to clarify. Ha ha!
Smallest of three bedrooms.
What we call the "master". This house was built in the 50's. I think that it would be considered a "cookie cutter" All of the bedrooms are really small including this one. That is one downside. Also there is only one bathroom. :(
I cant find before pictures of the living room. But the plus side to this house (beside the fact that it was dirt cheap) is the living space. The kitchen is completely open to the den, which was an add on in the late 70's early 80's. When they did the add on they added this little gem, or should i say BIG gem. The fireplace takes up almost the entire east wall of the den. I love it.
